Discovering Fusebox 4 with ColdFusion
This book covers in detail using the Fusebox 4 framework to build web applications in ColdFusion. The lack of an index, means that this book is hard to use a reference guide, so it is best read in order and then when you understand the concepts and terminology you can use the contents listing to find what you want.
The book starts off with simple examples before moving on to using Fusebox to build MVC based applications. This is a little frustrating if you are writiting code as you read, because when you get to the chapters on MVC you realize that this is much better than how you've just learnt to build Fusebox applications! If you are familiar with Fusebox 3, then the book covers the differences and shows how to translate your applications. Sample code is available from the publishers web site to accompany the book.
If you are new to ColdFusion or haven't used XML before then you'll find this book hard going as it does assume some familiarity with these languages.
Conclusion: If you want to write Fusebox 4 web applications, then you will find this book useful although it could be better.
